Obviously for Nintendo its more worth your and theirs, while, to remaster/remake their games from GC for Wii U and onwards. So the same has to be done for IBM POWER within IBM POWER. Now people say, "hey but what about Dolphin on x86 intel chipsets?" ~ Dolphin is a ground up emulation of the GC specifically made on and for intel chipsets, using a soft bridge specifically made to translate between the two architectures. When the conversation came up with Nintendo about gamecube support, early in the Wii U's lifecycle, they said they would look into it but its not as simple as it sounds. This means they have to write those themselves or find some other solution/approach. Is that they simply provided that hardware and no tools to help developers get to the metal of it. Nintendo's biggest problem with Wii U that has almost exclusively meant third party support had more than one reason to think twice about supporting the system. Work that means you may as well approach it from the ground up. So given that many gamecube games take specific advantage of that chipset in a nutshell, you can't just easily port gamecube games either, without a lot of work. You have to make it work the same way, on something that doesn't work that way, without putting in a lot of effort to make it work that way. Powerful, can do lots of different things, but thats not saying much when you are starting from something thats already working a certain way. This CPU (because GC games are CPU heavy) is actually IBM POWER. PPC doesn't exist in a pure form, hasn't for over 10yrs and there was never a multi-core part ever. Its not actually PPC in Wii U but PPC that is instructable through POWER. The chippery in the Wii U is only compatible backwards, loosely.
